Aurodox is a Streptomyces metabolite (linear polyketide) that interferes with Gram-negative bacterial infections of host cells. Roe et al. show Aurodox could work by reducing transcription across phylogenetically distinct Type Three Secretion Systems in E. coli, Salmonella, Yersinia and Vibrio spp.

I am taking care of our neighbor's cat for the holiday. Their door lock has been hard to open and wouldn't budge this morning. I remembered our mechanical engineer daughter's rules:

While I respect the view that science journals should aim to be completely objective, clearly labeled opinion pieces can move thought forward. And, yes, journal front sections need to offer over time different views that reference back to other opinions in the same or different journals.
