Marcus wears Nargacuga Armor and uses the Narga long sword
Kadin wears Hunter's Armor (gunner, pre Gen5) and uses the Rathian heavy bow gun

I finally decided what weapon and armor set my MH character Kyo has and to torture myself I chose Nerscylla armor and insect glaive. His kinsect is a grancathar, Grey helped raise him <3

I'm kinda in a similar position. Do some basic stuff that lets you put the majority of your focus on one thing, and also hopefully build/maintain your confidence. Even if it's just a study of something familiar and relatively easy for you, you may notice new things you never considered before
