At that point, why even remain a Republic? Remember how the Iron Curtain fell and we ended up with many new countries. Is that what is becoming of the USA? This will happen at some point, but it seems to be looming closer than anybody thinks.

Trump is what he is, but there is no denying that he has sold an image of unlimited power and wealth, and America has bought it wholesale. Incredibly, America has been brought to its knees by marketing. Maybe we need to start creating an alternative campaign as effective as MAGA—one of identity.

They just posed as him. The communication wasn't even via FB; it was via text. They were clever; the initial text said he had just updated his phone number. They only used Facebook to get a credible story.

I knew the initial contact was a scam, but when I got a text from my "contact" on Facebook, I really thought it was him. That was the unsettling part. I got taken for a few minutes.

They had me scoped out. I am a freelance website developer, so that was the angle they chose. They gain a little bit of info on their mark and use it to try to confuse you into disclosing more. As I said, they had me completely fooled for a little bit.

I once did what you did, and it got worse—the scammer got into my Facebook account and started texting as one of my Facebook friends. It took me a minute to realize what was going on. I figured it out and was left unstelled. That is why I no longer engage at all. These folks are relentless.

Today, I have serious doubts about the possibility of even having a midterm election. Unfortunately, the only thing that can save us is if everything goes terribly wrong for Trump —and it does not.

But you are still spending your time on them. I thought about doing this, and now I only disengage as wrappidly as possible.

The only thing that made America unique was its large middle class. Now we have a shrinking one, while half the country hates the other half. At this point, I don't think anything can be done to stop the fall of the empire.

No, besides thriving in chaos, Trump need unrest to call off elections.

The only thing that would wake up MAGA is a catastrophic economic downturn. Everybody likes to eat.

You are absolutely right, but this could never have taken place in an intellectually advanced society. Any populism is based on the manipulation of the ignorant. So first, we needed the ignorant in large numbers, or this deception would never have come to fruition—at least 40 years in the making.

Dude, the only real action would be voting in mass to change this shit. If this does not happen, I fucking keep blaming the population! At the end, the people will always have the government they deserve. You may not like it, but we probably deserve Trump, MAGA, racism, hate, and intolerance.

Wrong, the school is not the entire problem; half of it is the parents, who are also undereducated and disengaged from fomenting discipline, ethics, and respect at home. Bad parents rear bad kids, and that is where America is at right now.

It easy to blame Trump for what is happening in America. But I believe that we would be here regardless. Trump has an enormous support for the intellectually challenged who are so easily moved by their emotions. The problem is our population, not who represents them.
