Uiterst rechts is niet meer weg te denken uit de Kamer. ‘De normalisering ervan is hard gegaan’ Ja21, de PVV en Forum voor Democratie blijven in zetelaantal nagenoeg gelijk ten opzichte van de verkiezingen van 2023. Wilders behaalt het op twee na beste verkiezingsresultaat ooit.

The total number of far-right seats in the Tweede Kamer:

2021: 28
2023: 41
2025: 42 👈

And I don’t even count BBB here, which has radicalized significantly in the last year.

Het tijdperk van Wilders is niet voorbij: zijn rabiate gedachtegoed over asiel en de islam is genormaliseerd Het radicaal-rechtse blok is in Nederland groter dan ooit. Des te kwalijker dat Rob Jetten er tijdens zijn campagne voor koos een vrolijk nationalisme te etaleren.

The far right is about as large as in the 2023 elections, but the seats are divided differently amongst them. This makes the position of the PVV arguably somewhat less influential (but still a big party), but not the presence of far right politics in the Netherlands.

With the official prognosis giving one additional seat to PVV and one to FvD compared to the ext poll, the narrative should really not be that the Netherlands/Jetten has beaten the radical right. The far right bloc remains remarkably stable.

FvD is de grootste partij qua leden. Ze lijken een beetje op de oude massapartijen, die kiezers door ideologie duurzaam aan zich wisten te binden. Naast die loyale achterban heeft FvD ook een nieuwere groep weten te bereiken: vooral gedesillusioneerde PVV-stemmers en niet-stemmers.

Great question. I'd say BBB can be seen as part of the far-right camp; though its roots remain distinct. It began as an agrarian populist party but has since taken up several far-right themes and attracted voters from that side.

Uiterst rechts blijft stabiel groot: 40 zetels nu (bij deze exit polls), tegen 41 zetels twee jaar geleden.
Deze grafiek maakte ik vandaag voor studenten. Ik tel als uiterst rechts: PVV, FvD, JA21, LPF, LN, CD. Of je BBB, SGP en VVD mee zou moeten rekenen is een legitieme vraag.
