“It’s unprofessional” oh shut up!! If my portfolio has sections for each of my interests, then stop acting like it’s a problem. Just because I’m NOT a “one trick pony” (another phrase I hate) doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be dedicated to a project.

Nobody can change my mind on this.

I like pixel art, illustration, character design, world building, and creating short animations

And I’d like to think I’m pretty good at ALL of those things. Why on earth should I put myself in a box? I would love a job doing any of these things. Why should my portfolio only show ONE?

Ok I’m about to go on a rant.

Telling people they are a “jack of all trades but a master of none” is an asshole thing to say. And for the professional field to say someone’s portfolio is “unprofessional” because they have multiple interests? Screw y’all.
