Another discussion with a mum yesterday who has to take a 5-day job to try and negotiate to 4 days. 3 random inset days next term. It’s too stressful unless you work 4 days. #women #work

I totally agree. You can’t be handing out money to people without means testing! Look at Covid! I think Rachel Reeves got it right. Put onus on fuel companies to do a pension discount.

The school holidays are exhausting juggling work as it means weekends you always have to be on to make up for working all week. Anyone else feel like this?

If you encourage people to downsize, it solves the issue of inheritance tax and money moving back into economy. Make sure benefits are targeted to people who really need them. I’ve been through this with a parent and fuel amount is minimal in scheme of things. #winterfuel #winterfuelallowance

Winter fuel allowance should be scrapped. There need to be more creative ways to help pensioners who are often sitting in huge homes they can’t afford to heat.

People in flats and 1/2bedrooms could get help. Means test when people reach state pension age or automatically opt out.
