Well this is bad news

The most perfect detail in this story is that they flew Spirit Airlines.

The one time I flew Spirit I was ready to shoot someone at baggage claim too.

Unless they also lower their fares, there'll be no reason to fly with them. They were often more expensive than other carriers in my experience, unless you added in checked bag fees for competitors.
