my online social activity has taken a nosedive but it’s been for a lot of (mostly) good reasons, focusing my attention on the people and places that I care about and minimizing stress online has been a big net positive for me

don’t always have the energy to be present but things are looking up :)

been very offline for most of 2025 managing things in my personal life and there’s been a lot of good!!!

doing counseling for a legal aid organization as a part of my graduate program and I’ll have my degree at the end of May

been laying low and more social in person and it’s been healthy for me!

it’s nice to be able to work through things rationally and clearly but I’m gonna try and give myself more grace to exist and not always have to try and introspect my way through

2024 was really good for me but I wanna work on stressing less and having confidence in my decision-making

usually don’t set resolutions but one big thing this next year is learning to Think less and Do more

I’m a vicious overthinker and it’s impacted my functioning in situations where I was perfectly fine and didn’t need to do so

I grew my hair out in 2022, had on and off gym phases and ate better for the last few years, and I care about the clothes I wear beyond comfort, and it’s all stuff I do for me

doing the best that I can to be better to myself going forward

getting myself out of a bad episode has reminded me of how important little things are w/ self care:

been slacking on the haircare/facial regime I’ve stuck to for a few months, gonna get back on it

focusing on my outward appearance in general has been the greatest decision I’ve made in years

got this piece from @shiversthecat.bsky.social!!! suggesting the bandana kinda went crazy, absolutely love this one

also noticing that a good majority of the people I have from twitter on here are other furries which is super dope, it always felt awkward interacting with friends publicly on there so I was pretty quiet

def love that it’s much smaller and more curated, talking with friends and keeping up with the people that I care about is the whole reason why I use sites like these

the algorithm was fucked over there LMAO I was not angry enough to have posts pick up 😭😭

it’s peaceful here and I like that: absolutely hated how angry twitter was even if my personal rule has always been “never interact with strangers” along with “if it makes you unhappy ignore it”

hopefully this will feel like a smaller group like circles were

been incredibly busy with my two childcare roles (teaching afterschool and counseling during school) and my own grad program to where I haven’t had the time or energy to fully check in with people

dunno if I’ll say much on here but it might help to have some sort of public social outlet

social media has always been weird for me since I could care less about “building a following” and care much more about the people I’m close with being around

being away from the public sphere of twitter has been nice, it sucks that I don’t share spaces with some people but it is what it is
