You are definitely not alone there. I can relate a lot, especially over the last month. It's wild how difficult it can be to engage in the basic human drive to connect.

This is SO nicely done

Harish loses his lifetime family and lover and is seemingly the only one who remembers him. He is gaslit by an entire society who already hated him into almost believing Dhigo never existed and the only person that cares about him has to pretend he doesn't, and barely believes him.

Nikos's memory of his partner was wiped and he became a puppet of propaganda for the god who did it. He can remember the emptiness left by his lover's absence but isn't even allowed to grieve.

In one day, Dhigo's family was killed and overthrown, his god discarded him, and almost everyone who knew him forgot him, even his partner. And it was all triggered by him, because of a curse that was inflicted on him before he was even born.
