I wonder if removing Yen would even make a difference at this point.
If they haven’t requested his immediate resignation, then they support his statements.
Proton has done nothing but serve us absurd and damning justifications hoping that, as humans tend to do, we will forget soon enough.

We are at a crucial time again where individuals and entities have to decide whether to see fascism like a harmless belief system, or take it seriously and hold it accountable for the havoc that it wreaks. Will Proton hold their people accountable? Until then, how can we believe in its promise?

Proton cannot ask their customers to dismiss such a statement as a personal one as though personal values do not impact every single aspect of one’s life. Or to believe someone in Mr Yen’s position does not think before making statements for that matter.

Mr Yen could have simply stated the hope that the nominee holds his promise on antitrust. However he went further by referring to that rancid administration as “for the little guy” which is at best a delusion, and at worst a blatant endorsement.

In 2025 it’s hard to ask people to believe a retracted statement is nothing less than a strategic play.
Endorsing anyone who is kissing the ring of an administration that has vowed to obliterate all notions of decency, democracy, truth and basic human rights is simply dangerous.
