Oh hey, I forgot!

The incredible @wired.com art team is putting together a video companion for this piece. It will be out early next week. Check back for that!

Thanks to everyone who has shared or said kind words about the piece.

It's great for my own validation lol, but it's even better because I get to send the compliments over to Team Palestine and the kids get to see them. Which is extremely dope.

The goal? To winβ€”and teach STEM to their peers displaced by Israel's war and occupation of Palestine.

I was a referee at this event last year, and it's so inspiring to see what all the teams had to push through to even compete. Great read

Let’s go, Blue Jays. A little more magic.

Both of my daughters were involved in the program, if it's FIRST Robotics. The work they are doing is SO important.

I will be keeping this team in my thoughts with best hopes for success!

Great article about the amazing Palestinian robotics team. For years my dream as a filmmaker was to portray Palestinians unrelated to war and occupation, but I was never allowed to do it. I'm always so happy when journalists tell these stories instead. Thank you Ben.

Sick of only ever reading about Palestinian children as part of a death count?

Yeah, me too. These are people who have hopes and dreams every bit as important as ours.

Here are just a few of their stories:

Yeah, the immense selflessness really stands out. It's incredible to see, even from kids who have so few advantages of their own

One of my sons was on the US winning team back in 2017. FIRST Robotics is wonderful. My son never had one iota of the challenges and I'm going to be more thankful for that. Glad all these kids still got to experience it.

A true honor to meet these students/mentors and tell their story, which is immensely meaningful to me.

If you have a few mins today, please do me a favor and read/share. These kids deserve it.

I’m making my first foray into writing about this region tomorrow, actually (but it’s nothing like your political analysis, it’s a human interest story). Hope you’ll check it out

It got delayed, but the most relevant/impactful thing I've ever written goes up tomorrow at WIRED. Not a sports story. Never been this excited to share something.

Super cool justice system we've got here, where Chauncey Billups gets nailed for scamming some rich dudes at poker games but not for the virtual certainty that he raped a woman.
