Canada is in a federal election. Pierre Poilievre, for the Conservative Party, is fiscally and socially conservative. He is Trumpian. Mark Carney is the leader of the Liberal Party and a smart, tough, centrist.
Few voters are policy experts but we can discern decency, common sense and warmth.
