5 months in and I can no longer see where i started, why I waited. The indecision and fear is gone. My life is rich, colourful, vibrant. I was told 2 days ago by someone I barely knew that I was born to be a woman. I feel it. I see her.

I also know that this is the barest tip of the iceberg. Out there in the world, maybe only a paper-thin wall away are radient, amazing queer people who have been told they need to hide, that their light is too bright or worse, wrong.
The world is more vibrant and special because you are in it.

I started HRT 3 months ago. In that time i have met more amazing people than I thought possible. All hiding in plain sight or in their safe hidyholes, only making themselves known on forums and meetups.

This is your journey. You may feel pressure to conform, people may put labels on you but at the end of every day it's You that is important.
Everyone is running a race and dealing with troubles that are invisible to the outside observer. Be kind to yourself

You have more effect on the world than you can possibly imagine. That person you talk to online thinks you're awesome. The random stranger you smiled at yesterday carried that with them all day. You are loved by people you don't even know

What you know in your heart is real, so carry that light with you into dark places. Show that light to everyone living in the dark, too shy to be seen. Show them they too can feel the sun on their face and live with joy and pride.

For all those people who don't even know how to start finding themselves, who don't see a way out. I hope you survive to see that you are seen and you are loved. We carry you in our hearts everyday, knowing that we are the lucky ones.

Things to remember when the brainworms hit;
More people are questioning their gender than ever before.
More people have the resources to transition than ever before.
There is more representation and community than ever before.
All their attempts to demonise us only make more people question.
