Report: Finland leads Europe in river restoration According to Dam Removal Europe, Finland dismantled a record 138 river barriers last year, leading the continent in efforts to free up rivers for migratory fish and other wildlife.

"More than 500 riverine obstacles were removed or bypassed. Of these, 138 were located in Finland. France came in second, with 128 obstacles removed."

Do it at the local and regional scale. Most people love taking part, and this challenges the destructive old narrative.
