Honister slate mine in Cumbria, England’s Lake District. My first reaction was, “don’t jump!”…until I realized the “people” were made from pieces of slate. In my defense…. It WAS very foggy.

Such a cutie! We used to live in Whitby in a run down apt, my husband and I, at the beginning of our time together, and we often visited Halls Rd. It was a magical place where birds came to your hand to feed and the local wildlife was abundant. This is a young racoon I photographed in 2013.
