Snapping back to reality, Anemone blinked at Blythe. The teasing look she expected to find wasn't there: Blythe was quite serious. A thread of excitement wove into her doubtful reply, "Oh, I don't think that would be a good idea. What if I slip and fall? Doctor Vos did caution me on overexerting myself." "I would not let miss Anemone fall." Anemone felt warm all over at her simple and earnest assertion. She had no defense against it. How could she refuse? "I'm in your hands then." To her delight and surprise, Blythe's cheeks colored in response. It gave her a degree of comfort not being the sole one off-put by the situation. And she found the bloom of pink quite complementary to Blythe’s handsome face. A bit uncertain now but too late to retract her offer, Blythe awkwardly stepped behind Anemone, grasping one of her hands and wrapping an arm around her waist. Attempting to keep a secure hold on her while touching her as little as possible.

"Don't move too much," Blythe warned, somewhat stiff. She waited for Anemone to nod before launching off the ground, alighting into the air so smoothly Anemone wouldn't notice if her eyes were closed. They landed on the top of the wall easy as stepping onto a stair. The positions of the walls and pillars appeared further apart up here. If she hadn't seen young Larkin perform the leap so easily already, she'd think it was impossible. The prospect of jumping across to each one, even aided by Blythe's steady presence, seemed exhilarating. And it was. Blythe's grip tightened as they moved along, picking up speed, the awkwardness banished by Anemone laughing breathlessly, unable to suppress it. They sailed together through the air like a pair of birds. Anemone didn't know she could feel so light and free, so untethered to the earth and all the problems therein. She wasn't afraid at all.

I call this blythe and anemone's howl moving castle moment
