I probably should have given it more than one season, since most shows don't really find their voice until at least the second season. And I know that people who are fans are hardcore, so clearly they saw something I didn't.

Yeah, I can definitely see that. I also feel like the fandom at the time was a big part of the show's appeal. Kind of like watching LOST for the first time in 2025, it just wouldn't hit the same without the constant online theories/banter. In a vacuum, it's just kinda meh.

I watched the first season, but never felt the need to go any further. I think it's one of those shows that was really groundbreaking at the time, but has been copied so many times since that it doesn't seem like anything special now.

I only asked because there was no one in the background. 😄 Honestly, I'd love to have a private screening of Scream!
