8/ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 “𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀”?
They’re a media invention.
The vast majority of immigrants come to 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆, or 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆.
There is 𝗻𝗼 evidence of widespread benefit tourism.

7/ 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁.
HMRC and ONS data consistently show that migrants — especially from the EU — contribute 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝘅𝗲𝘀 than they receive in services.
They are 𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆.

6/ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗘𝗨 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀?
Since Brexit, new arrivals from the EU no longer have automatic access to benefits.
They must pass the 𝙃𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙏𝙚𝙨𝙩 — meaning they need to live and work in the UK for a period before qualifying.

5/ 𝗢𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀, people 𝙘𝙖𝙣 access benefits — because they’re legally considered residents.
But they face a cliff edge: asylum support stops in 28 days and many end up homeless due to delays in issuing IDs and National Insurance numbers.

4/ “𝗥𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘀” 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝘆𝘁𝗵.
Asylum seekers are housed in temporary accommodation, usually shared and often poor quality.
They 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙩 choose where they live and they are 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗞 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀 on social housing lists.

3/ 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗹𝘂𝗺 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆.
But not in the way the tabloids suggest.
•𝘈𝘴𝘺𝘭𝘶𝘮 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 can’t work and don’t get benefits.
They get basic housing (if needed) and a tiny weekly allowance — currently £49.18 per person per week (as of 2024). That’s just £7 a day.

2/ 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗨𝗞 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹.
That means they have 𝙉𝙤 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙨 (NRPF) stamped on their visas.
This 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 to most state benefits — including Universal Credit, Housing Benefit, and Child Benefit.

• 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗻
Talk about inflation, the NHS, broken promises.
Ask: “Is this what you were promised?”

• 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀
Stats don’t persuade. Real people do. Jobs lost. Businesses broken. Families divided.

𝟮. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗖𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁

Facts bounce off. Humiliation hardens belief.
Rational arguments often entrench delusion.
The more you push, the deeper they dig.

Logic isn’t enough. Neither is shame.

• 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵
They believe they’re “saving” Britain. Brexit wasn’t just a vote — it was a mission. One they’ll defend, even as it fails.

• 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴
The real culprits? Never the leaders. It’s always someone else: migrants, Labour, judges, globalists.

• “𝗨𝘀 𝘃 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺” 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆
Enemies fuel the cause: EU, migrants, “woke elites”, Remainers, civil servants.
Doubt = betrayal.

• 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Economic damage? Denied.
Trade friction? Blamed on Brussels.
Reality is filtered to preserve the narrative.
