We deserve a Congress that’s unafraid to speak the truth and hold itself to the same standards most Americans do.
It’s why I’m fighting for basic, nonpartisan ethics standards for Representatives facing cognitive decline or memory loss.

After I found out there's no process to add home blueprints for veterans to a bill, my amendment passed committee to work toward including visual information in bills.

I voted against a partisan recissions package to block funding previously approved by Congress.

I just voted against an Interior funding bill in committee because it wasn't a good enough deal for SW Washington.
It slashes funding by 60%+ for clean water initiatives in our state and reduces resources for the agencies that maintain our public lands, monitor seismic activity, & run timber sales.
I also voted for an amendment that would address timber staffing challenges in Washington and strengthen our military readiness.
Rebuilding rural economies matters way more to me than the amendment also renaming an opera house 2,800 miles away.
If there's one thing Democrats & Republicans agree on, it's that headlights are too damn bright.
Brightness doubled in the last decade, yet standards are from before I was born.
My amendment passed to find solutions bc it's not a binary choice between the light of 1,000 suns & driving in the dark.
Had to pop out of Committee to vote, and Uma enjoyed her furst ride on the House Subway.

To identify counterfeit bills, you don't just study counterfeit bills – you know what the real thing looks like.

$4 trillion might just seem like another number on paper to politicians in D.C. – but if distributed, it would be $31,000 for every U.S. household.
