This is what happens when you're a Criterion Channel junkie. What's your #llast4watched? #letterboxdfriday
Read My Lips - Jacques Audiard (2001)
Anatomy of Hell - Catherine Breillat (2004)
Laura - Otto Preminger (1944)
Gloria - Charles Vidor (1946)
Those are indeed cool. Wish I had enough space on my desk for one.

05.12.2024 00:10 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0My wife wrote thousands of articles for a popular online health organization. All of it is scraped to the point where she can tell ChatGPT to write an article about (xxxx) in the style of (her name), and it will do it flawlessly. There is very little poltitical or judicial resistence to ending this.

26.11.2024 00:09 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I've never really focused on a personal style per se, but I'm sure it's there just because I do what's in my head rather than intentionally copying something that someone else did. I always just focus on doing the most appropriate and/or cool thing I can think of in the moment.
25.11.2024 20:33 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Theaters in Burbank are great in regards to respecting the movie (audiences are usually packed with industry) but I still have to wait for streaming on this one. I just can't take sitting for 3 hours anymore.

24.11.2024 21:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0There've been a few. That's a good list tho. I'd probably throw The Martian in there over T&L.
24.11.2024 21:09 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I was just leaving for there. Maybe I'll stay home for a bit.

22.11.2024 19:00 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Most of the offerings I'm seeing lately are narrowly focused functionality that I can usually get 98% there with plugins that I own already. Easy for me to resist these things. I'll spend a little year-end money on some sound FX to support people tho.

22.11.2024 17:09 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It's the same deal with film/tv. Work begets work. If you have no game credits, you're up against those who do so you're pretty much back at the bottom rung and have to work your way back up. I went through this when I moved from games to films. None of my AAA game credits counted for anything.
