Adult education, job training, and career tech programs were moved OUT of the Dept. of Education and INTO the Dept. of Labor.

“Foreign influence” is one of the most dangerous phrases in U.S. education history. It’s been used for decades to justify surveillance, firings, and ideological purges (usually based on exaggeration or straight up lies.)

Now the surveillance system is being built by Palantir. Yikes.

Palantir (the surveillance contractor used by ICE & the Pentagon) is now embedded inside the U.S. Dept of Education. They are building the new “foreign funding” reporting portal for universities.

They will be awarded up to $61.8M total to do this.

One thing that strikes me about MAGAts is the way they cannot just be haters like normal human beings. They have to word vomit every slur they know and threaten to rape and/or kill you. It’s like middle school boys trying to be edgy.

The Trump regime is turning public education into workforce training, & they’re trying to be sneaky about it.

But when we look at these policies together (the earnings test where trade certificates are exempt, pushing K–12 kids into trades, & moving Title I to the Department of Labor), it’s clear.

Capitalism is every issue.

For undergrad degree programs, the median completer who is working & not currently enrolled in further education would have to—for 2 out of 3 consecutive years—have earnings that exceed the median earnings of 25–34-year-olds in the state who only have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent.

Effective July 1, 2026, the law creates a new accountability measure for all Title IV-eligible programs requiring that most students earn more than they would have had they not attended the program; otherwise, the program will risk losing loan eligibility.

The earnings test is SINISTER. It’s in the Big Beautiful Bill…but they don’t want us to know.

No…degrees were not “removed” from a list of “professional degrees.” It’s not about mandated reporters, either. The media is getting it wrong, and it is snowballing out of control.

The sneakiest, most sinister attack on higher ed right now (in my opinion) isn’t loan caps or budget cuts.

It’s the “earnings test” that could wipe out entire fields including teaching, counseling, social work, & journalism (and could even shut down colleges)
