He said once he got it running, weβd be out of a job, so when the boys started talking about breaking into the factory and smashing the thing, I was on board. Until, that is, I saw the funny tapestries it could make.

Iβve got an essay in a new book coming out that you might appreciate if youβve ever wondered how ADHD plays into the work I do. I believe this is the first time Iβve been included as an actual writer in something and feel overwhelming gratitude to have participated π.

11.12.2025 17:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Screenshot of a post from @SFdirewolf Alice Wongβs X account posted very early this morning: This is Alice's friend Sandy Ho, posting. Per Alice's wishes, this message is being shared at the time of her passing. Hi everyone, it looks like I ran out of time. I have so many dreams that I wanted to fulfill and plans to create new stories for you. There are a few in progress that might come to fruition in a few years if things work out. I did not ever imagine I would live to this age and end up a writer, editor, activist, and more. As a kid riddled with insecurity and internalized ableism, I could not see a path forward. It was thanks to friendships and some great teachers who believed in me that I was able to fight my way out of miserable situations into a place where I finally felt comfortable in my skin. We need more stories about us and our culture. You all, we all, deserve the everything and more in such a hostile, ableist environment. Our wisdom is incisive and unflinching. I'm honored to be your ancestor and believe disabled oracles like us will light the way to the future. Don't let the bastards grind you down. I love you all. 12:32 AM β’ Nov 15, 2025 β’ 157.3K Views
Gutted to learn this morning of the passing of disability justice activist Alice Wong @sfdirewolf.bsky.social π₯ I admire her writing & fierceness in advocating for herself & others for protections in hospital in the early days of the pandemic, how I came to know of her. What a force! RIP Alice π

Today my daughter's preschool is holding a farewell assembly for one of her classmates whose mother has no choice but to self deport. The school is hoping it will be joyful in tone, so we might make this less upsetting for this 3 year old.
