i really dislike how baked into our culture it is that if you apologize you're just automatically forgiven and people are pressured to go along with it. any apology or responsibility worth its salt should come with the possibility that nobody fucking cares

101. Predestination (2014), directed by Michael and Peter Spierig, first time viewing

Being very familiar with the source material and recognizing it pretty quickly took a little wind out of the movie's sails, just because I knew where it was going the whole time, but a fun adaptation nonetheless

100. Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo (2012), directed by Hideaki Anno, Kazuya Tsurumaki, Mahiro Maeda, and Masayuki, rewatch

As expected, this hit a lot more for me during this rewatch. The big time skip works super well to introduce this disorientation and sense of stasis that drives everything

that's more or less how I felt, though it's not really a bad thing since there are tons of movies targeted to me anyway

98. Pulp Fiction (1994), directed by Quentin Tarantino, rewatch

seeing this in the theater for the first time was an amazing experience, really felt like experiencing it for the first time again and being gripped by the surprising places the story goes

do you think you could drink a 12-ounce can of soda of your choosing every day for a week for 76 million dollars? the catch is that during that week, you’re not allowed to travel to columbus, georgia unless you already had plans to or you just want to

97. Iron Angels 3 (1989), directed by Teresa Woo San, first time viewing

Mixed feelings.. plot is looser than ever, but there's more action than 2 and the quality is still good... but Moon Lee takes a HUGE backseat in the finale. I don't watch Girls With Guns movies for Guys With Guns. Come on now.

1980s Italian horror is some of the most reliably bonkers movie horror

how you gonna have bjork in your movie looking like this and have her in it for just one scene? and NOT interacting with fortune telling jester willem dafoe????

94. Iron Angels 2 (1988), directed by Teresa Woo San, first time viewing

Slower to get going than the first and a less compelling villain, but the second half almost meets the heights of the first movie.

i still really enjoy this remixed, weird alternate dimension evangelion a whole bunch and am looking forward to rewatching the third one! i vaguely remember not liking it as much as the others, but i also suspect my opinion is wrongheaded (mostly because i do not remember specifics)
