Check smaller venues in a few months for other concerts start scheduling. Shows at spots like Irving Plaza can be good and not too expensive. They’re not scheduled for August yet, but you should see options around April or May.

- Museum of the Moving Image
- Cat cafe (there’s one in Flushing near the concert)
- Spyscape—haven’t done but mean to try
- Karaoke rooms if in a group
- Museum of Natural History
- Broadway or Off-Broadway. Check for online ticket lotteries the week before!

There’s a lot of unique anime experiences in Queens, including a cafe “Dimension Poptown” that does a lot of show tie-ins. It’s in the same borough as the concert.

In Manhattan, Kinokuniya is usually a good stop!

9. I don’t always have a romantic ship in a fandom. When I do have a ship, it’s usually a loose preference.

I can count my OTPs on one hand.

8. If the ship is physical, I’ll usually write them as switches. There are occasional exceptions, but, I like flexibility in the dynamics.

7. Mostly I write or read Monogamy! Sometimes, you can’t resist an OT3, though.

6. I write some of both! I’m probably more of a rare pair shipper by nature, however…

5. Multiship! There’s an AU for everything

4. A physical aspect of a ship I like is when they have contrasting color schemes, especially with hair. One dark haired character and one light haired character gives a good visual balance

3. An emotional aspect of a ship that will usually get to me is when there’s a fierce amount of loyalty between the two characters—especially if it’s in a situation where that trust doesn’t feel like it would be natural, but it exists between them anyway.

2. I think that almost everything can be written well, but three shipping tropes that I’m less likely to enjoy
