Ttrpg: last week’s session was cut short when I fell ill and had to be rushed to hospital. Let’s… hope this weeks session is less dramatic irl, but perhaps exactly that dramatic in-game! My character was annoyed that instead of having sex, he was dealing with a ghost that wants to eat his eyes.

Ttrpg: during last session, my character quietly promised himself a trip to a sex club later, if he could resist the temptation to get high right now. Sadly, the whole party got arrested, so instead he’s in jail, with his friends. Goddammit.

“It’s damage! It needs fixed! If he broke his leg, you’d not ask him to walk about on it for a month first, right?” - my character, in an attempt to argue against the party members saying we could “wait and see” on the therapy for the kid.

The young kid in our party killed someone during the zombie fight, and now is freaking out. My character (while distracted) is insisting the kid sees a therapist, but isn’t being particularly coherent about it (despair!). It’s great, I love it!

Ttrpg: “Nobody ever plays the shrink” - our gm, at the end of the session.
We defeated the zombies, but my character fell into despair (we are playing Hunter) and spent the rest of the session staring at his phone and muttering “I’m going to destroy him…”
I’m enjoying the mechanic!

Ttrpg: in a last-ditch attempt to get out of the zombie fight in our game session tonight, we the players have informed our gm that we are allergic to zombies. The gm seems unmoved by our plight, and is unwilling to make accommodations 😆

ttrpg: I now just habitually larp my character’s expressions when I play, in any game, but especially in our Hunter game. This week I got to silently emote disgust at food, to the delight of the rest of the players/dm. It’s the little things…

Why do you hate freedom, Andy?

It was a hard larp to write and run, but it was worth it. I'm glad (but also very sad) that it is still so relevent.

I was complimented for my ability to casually pass on information - my character is the researcher for the group, and apparently not only do I do that well but it makes the DM so happy when I make the little connections to the things not directly stated. My trick is Onenote - I write it all down!

ttrpg: this week was session 6 and after the session we had a nice chat about how well it's going. Great play from everyone, a weird little family.
Being able to evoke strong images of the characters' actions and reactions - having people be able to predict how they'd react to stuff, golden <3

My character isn’t amoral, but he’s also not exactly nice.
The character who asked - a priest with a church in the poor part of the city - really hates the rich, and I don’t want to take that game from him. I want us to be able to explore the shades of grey.

This week, while making sure no local homeless got killed by our ritual, my character was asked why he cared. Why does some rich douche care about homeless people?
He answered that he didn’t want to m*rder anybody. He didn’t care about the poor, sure - but he’s not a m*rderer.

“How do men perceive you??”

Asks the Facebook add for some app or whatever.

“A threat.” I mutter, as I scroll on by.

The existential dread of being the only person at the Christmas meal who doesn’t smoke, so you’re at the table alone, repeatedly 😆🫠

We had session 1 of a new table top last night, following a successful session 0 last week.
When asked what he brings to the table my character said “brains” which is how he sees himself.
I then got to demonstrate what he actually brings to the table - money.
Very satisfying play :)

1pm on a random Tuesday seems like the sort of chaotic time I’d decide to join a new social media app. You get no notice, just suddenly I’m following you. Kinda like at larp, I guess.
