I created some folding sawhorses out of the most fucked up pieces of the yellow pine I gathered from the job. They don’t sit straight because all of the wood is warped slightly but that’s not my fault I tried as hard as I could.

I used to do backpacking, right now I only car camp when I go. I would like to do bike touring but it would require a lot of new gear it seems like, my current shit is pretty heavy.

I never sleep on the first night of camping for some reason. night 2 however.. its go time.

The other floor if the building that I was responsible for is event spaces, and I will probably never see the inside of those again. The public lobby that we did the lighting for is all good to go but it looks garish.

It ended up looking pretty good. The menu is not incredible but that’s expected it’s a Mormon joint. We put in a pizza oven and it looks like they only use it for flatbread. They have a smoker that I only saw used for one smoked sauce. And the 20k two-burner wok range doesn’t seem to get any use.

The restaurant I worked on for two years will open in a couple weeks. I was looking through the website they have and it said “our south dining space features a retractable roof” and I was like, you’re goddamn right it does.

I also think my trig isn’t graphical enough, like I don’t have that intuition to go back and forth across different identities without just memorizing them.
