A parent shared with me a map made by their 9 year old child (of that intersection) which was sent to the city 3 years ago.
"Red X's indicate the locations I have almost been hit by cars" Think about that.

Nurseries / kindergartens in the Netherlands often have large bikes capable of transporting up to 10 pre-school children on outdoor trips, enabled by the safe infrastructure that can be found everywhere in the country
