As someone who does enjoy achievements and is admittedly more inclined to play a game if it has them: imagine being this person LOL

Most of my favorite games of all time have no Steam/PSN/etc. achievement support at all and achievements only enhance my enjoyment of something, not define it.

thank you! Turns out there's plenty of things in the main questline that you don't actually have to do; you end up with less XP but there are workarounds.

This was one of my childhood games and back in elementary school I thought this game was extremely hard, so I'm happy to have pushed it so far!

Eschalon Book 1 beaten in under 45 minutes for the first time ever!! The previous record before I started running was a 1:03, so I'm extremely happy with just how much all of my rerouting has paid off!
