WRITING NEWS: It was an honor to be invited to submit a piece for Alien Buddha Press’ 75th milestone issue of Alien Buddha Zine, which will showcase the essence of the ‘zine and ABP as a whole. My poem, “We’re Not Going Back”, will be published within its pages.

Absolutely! And I hold my creative writing students and workshop participants accountable to this rule as well starting on Day 1. Ego and competition ruin writing communities. We need to have each other’s backs, not be at each other’s throats.

The Problem of the Tariff in American Economic History, 1787–1934 This essay investigates the historical development of tariff policy between the Founding era and the end of World War II.

Here is what everyone who doesn’t understand tariffs or who thinks tariffs are a good idea needs to read. It was published by the Cato Institute, which is no Democratic/Liberal think tank. Tariffs are bad news, and people need to wake up to that.
