The Treasury Department is developing a one-dollar commemorative coin featuring Donald Trump's horrid face in celebration of America’s 250th birthday. This is not a joke. This is not a tacky meme coin. This is not a product of the Trump Campaign or the Trump Organization.

This is being created by the federal government, despite the fact that Donald Trump is the worst of our presidents (sic) and has even attacked our nation. His face on a coin is almost as outrageous and absurd as him being returned to the White House. What’s wrong with you, America?

U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach has tweeted the designs of the future coin, which features Trump on the head side, and an image of his “fight fight fight” moment on the tail, which means his face will be on the coin twice.

Beach wrote in his tweet, “Looking forward to sharing more soon, once the obstructionist shutdown of the United States government is over.” This will make people want the shutdown to continue for as long as possible.

This is another sign of fascism.

Dictators love their own faces and they put them on as many things as they can. Dictators who’ve placed themselves on their nation’s currency while they were still ruling are Saddam Hussein, Mao Zedong, Kim Il-sung, Muammar Gaddafi, and Bashar al-Assad. Welcome to the club, Trump. You’re a tyrant.

In the United States, federal law prevents putting living persons on our currency. But when has federal law ever stopped Donald Trump? It’s not like the Emoluments Clause slows him down from grifting or engaging in business with foreign nations.

Harriet Tubman was supposed to be placed on the $20 bill, but the first Trump administration stopped that, and now Trump is going to be on currency.

What’s funny is that the first Trump Treasurer, Steve “Baby Fishmouth" Mnuchin, delayed Tubman from appearing on our currency, and said it would take over ten years to complete, yet now they’re going to have Trump on a coin next year. That doesn’t make sense.

This is a look of fascism! They’re already placing banners with Trump’s face all over Washington, DC. And now they’re going to violate the law and put his ugly mug on a coin. The only explanation is that they don’t care how this looks, and if you make fun of Trump about it, they might arrest you.

Usually in this country, you have to be great to be on currency. George Washington is the father of our nation, and would have refused this honor. He wasn’t placed on the dollar until 1869, long after he died. He won the American Revolution. Trump couldn’t even win his white nationalist coup attempt

Thomas Jefferson is on the $2, and is a Founding Father. He didn’t land on the bill until 1862, long after he had died. Jefferson was the primary author of the Declaration of Independence (I originally wrote the Constitution, but came back to edit it). Trump can’t even spell “hamburger.”

Abraham Lincoln saved our nation during its worst crisis. He wasn’t placed on the $5 until 1914. Obviously, he was already dead. Lincoln freed the slaves and won the Civil War. Trump is fighting to preserve Confederate Statues, and don’t ask about his position on freeing the slaves.

Alexander Hamilton, another Founding Father, was placed on the $10 bill in 1929. Of course, Hamilton was dead, having been killed in a duel with treasonist Aaron Burr in 1804. Trump has more in common with Burr.

Despite being a racist and a lousy president, Andrew Jackson was placed on the $20 bill in 1929. Jackson died in 1845. Jackson is Trump’s favorite president after Putin.

President Ulysses S. Grant is on the $50 bill, which he’s been on since 1914. He died in 1885. Grant helped restore the Union. Trump is trying to destroy it.

Founding Father Benjamin Franklin has been on the $100 bill since 1914. He died in 1790. Franklin was a great inventor and may have drawn America’s first cartoon. Trump invents bullshit and is in today’s cartoon…because he invents a lot of bullshit.

I was a kid in 1976, and everybody wanted the Bicentennial quarter. Since I need quarters for my laundry, I occasionally find one. I don’t remember anyone trying to put Gerald Ford’s face on the Bicentennial quarter.

Donald Trump has not accomplished anything to earn being placed on currency, but then again, neither did Saddam Hussein.

We haven’t heard Donald Trump refusing the honor of being on a $1 coin. He’s not going to refuse it because of his ego.

He’ll work with Congress to change the law, or they will ignore it, do it anyway, and nobody will enforce the law. It’ll be the same way when he runs for president again in 2028…

…unless he’s dead. Then it would be legal to put him on US currency. I’d still be against it.

Unless the law prevails, and in most situations that involve Donald Trump, it doesn’t, there will be a coin issued by the United States Treasury Department with Donald Trump’s face on it.
