A lot of people epically failed to accept the basic reality that the 2024 election was an election with huge moral stakes and a clear right and wrong answer (for a wide range of reasons). They now are twisting themselves into knots to protect themselves from accepting that moral failing.

I do know that what works in one state don't NECESSARILY carry over to another and having worked on finding candidates sometimes getting people to run is harder than folks think.

You're not kidding there's a bunch of layers here but I don't even know who they're throwing the bigotry at here.

I think this stuff kind of sucks and muddies the water, but there is a lesson here, which is that refusing to take the correct moral stand due to political expediency can have extremely high long-term costs for your party's brand. There are lessons in that for today.

I think as a general rule it would be good for the Democratic Party to nominate younger candidates on average but we may have rung that bell a little too hard if people look at “is Old” and “is maybe Nazi” and see the first as worse.

So, having reread this article and done some digging on the campaign situation I'm honestly pressing F to doubt this article. Especially thinking back to how some folks in the news reacted to Biden by making shit up and knowing how folks are about Black women.

Same thing's happened to me a couple of times and well... yeah, the folks involved have demonstrated plenty that they also have a problem with Black folks disagreeing with them

I don't now about open contempt but I legit don't know what the corrective is other than that for reporters who've been behaving horrifically for more than 2 decades at this point.
