As I said, I don't support their brutal tactics. But killing civilians has been part of winning wars for a long time.
Bomber Harris went after civilians as part of a total war strategy. Hence the firebombing of Dresden, which killed as many civilians as the entire Gaza conflict.

Israel is not the first country to starve their enemy into submission.
