It's obviously not perfect, and yes technically it has been over "hyped" in gaming media, but it is an excellent game in its own right and it is fine to both praise it while also acknowledging it's imperfections re certain plot points and marketing etc.

And when assessing a game I, and many other gamers, are considering things like music, UI, plot, writing, combat, level design, character design, art direction, fun of the primary/secondary gameplay loops etc. And in many/most of those matters it excels. Yes it's probably not THE BEST at any one

Have you played the game? There are some criticisms here about certain bits of the story that (based on where I'm at) aren't accurate.

I fully understand not being on board with the studio execs and how they've handled the marketing and awards circuit but this is ultimately a game, not a book.

I'm also confused. What issues have there been other than some people marketing it as an "indie game made by a team of only 30"?
