Fall Break is next week! With it, the library will have reduced hours closing at 5 PM next Monday and Tuesday. #IUN

The library has new displays in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They're provided by the Women of Excellence Multicultural Interest Group from the Sigma Lambda Gamma sorority. Another display is available on second floor. Stop by to take a closer look! #IUN

The library is now in its summer semester hours. We're open Mondays - Thursdays from 8 AM to 6 PM, and Fridays from 8 AM to 5 PM. We're closed on weekends. #IUN

We are open 8 to 5 this week for Pre-Summer hours! We are closed Wednesday, May 14 for Commencement and Saturday, May 17.

Join us for our pop-up Human Library in Room 105A of the John W. Anderson Library Conference Center from 10AM to 1PM Friday, April 25. Borrowing time is usually around 30 minutes per book and a Librarian will be on hand to help you browse and borrow. Light refreshments will also be served.

Our Archivist Jeremy Pekarek traveled to Minnesota for the Midwest Archives Conference. He co-paneled "Space, Time, and Design: Considering Special Collections Instructional Spaces" with Ohio State University and University of Michigan colleagues and facilitated a MAC Forum for solo archivists. #IUN

We got a new scanner! The library is proud to announce our brand new Aperion/42 scanner homed at the IU Northwest Archives. It can scan huge items up to 42” by 60” at 1200dpi to create hi-res images of oversized items. Stay tuned for more exciting things to come!

The library will have changed hours during Spring Break, which lasts from tomorrow (March 15) until return to classes on March 24. During this time, we will be closed on weekends, and close at 5 PM on all weekdays. #IUN

For Women's History Month, our Archives proudly displays scrapbooks detailing history of the Ninety Niners, celebrating and representing women pilots. The org began in 1929 with 1st president Amelia Earhart. Stop by the library to see Indiana Dunes chapter scrapbooks. #IUN

Midwest communities worry that firing of parks and forest employees will harm ecosystems, economies and education Staff cuts at Indiana Dunes, Pullman Monument and Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie raise alarms about park operations and restoration efforts.

The Indiana Dunes are the #1 tourist spot in the state, with >3 million annual visitors. For every $1 tax investment, it generates $38 in the local economy.

Without the hard work of federal stewards, the park's health, its visitors' experience, and economic benefits for its neighbors all suffer.

It's Black History Month, and we have amazing displays to share, courtesy of Kylie Cooper! The artifacts were collected from Suriname and Ghana by her grandfather, who immigrated to the U.S. in the 40s. The vase is a recent creation of #IUN alum Ryan Bennett.

The library will be closed next Monday, January 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Our Research Consultations remain available for their regular hours during this time as well. These scheduled appointments with librarians can be done in person or by Zoom. iun.libcal.com/appointments
