NM Senate unanimously passes wildlife commission reform • Source New Mexico The New Mexico Senate unanimously passed a bill to give the Supreme Court final say in wildlife commission removal proceedings.

The new bill says the governor can initiate the removal of a commissioner, but gives the last word to the New Mexico Supreme Court.

This afternoon, SB 18 failed to pass the Senate on a vote of 19-23. Please take a moment to thank the below Senators for standing with communities by supporting bold climate action. The fight is not over - still 7 days left in the session and SO many bills left to get across the finish line.
