I haven't played Pandemic in a long time. I should break that out when I get a chance.

Changes at work and general scheduling complications have pushed painting and board gaming lower in the priority list. Nothing bad, just usual ebb and flow of things.

Burned myself out on painting KDM models. We're going to switch to a lighthearted palette cleanser of the hero characters from Lobotomy II. Seems fitting since they just launched a new Kickstarter.

The Sunstalker is probably one of my favorite fights. Positioning is so critical and the fight can turn on a dimension.

I'm definitely losing steam on painting KDM models. After this i think i need to take a break and paint some things that aren't a horror show of some kind.

Blocked in most of the colors for The King. I'm going to try and unify the colors schemes for The Hand and The Kingsman.

Were I the planning type, I would have picked closer schemes for those two models, but I'm not, so here we are.

While doing some gap filling on the next model to paint, I had a thought to use a silicon clay shaper to apply and smooth out the sprue goo.

Worked really well. I only had a chisel tipped shaper, so it couldn't reach into tiny areas, but that's a problem easily solved.

There was also a crisis when his hammer broke off. Pinning it in place to a 2mm shaft with a sewing needle was not a fun experience.

I don't think it would have killed them to make it a socket fit instead of a butt join, but what do i know?

Done except for a few details I just noticed. (Lion Head broaches) Setting aside my often unrealistic expectations, I'm pretty pleased with my first foray into NMM. Wasn't as bad as I had it in my head to be.

Hooray trying new things.

Take two on Big Smoke. Gold is golder and smoke is redder. Overall win and pretty content with the NMM. If you get up closer it looks a bit chalky, but for my second go, it is good enough.

Here's where we are. Doesn't particularly look like gold. If anyone has advice on making him more shiny, I'd love to hear it. Overall the process wasn't too bad, just the colors are off.

I've purchased brush soap and cleaning supplies, but that strikes me as far less fun to do than painting.

Sadly I'm very hard on my brushes so "fine" doesn't really apply to them.

First few layers. Not sure this'll read as gold at the end but onwards we go.

Not pleased, but done. Lots of struggle bussing on the cape and I had to settle for grey brown instead of the cream color i was originally wanted.

He's likely getting scrubbed and repainted down the line.

But progress none the less.

Hair and make up mostly done? Maybe some deeper shadows in the hair, not sure what else i could do to the face. Sadly I don't have a brush fine enough to dot those eyes, so creepy blank stare it is.

Kingdom Death's finest actor and playwright is in hair and makeup, getting ready for his next appearance!

I'm bummed about his base. I did a good job priming and I don't think paint will improve it. Feels wrong to not paint it though.

And done with the Gorm. Transparent paints may be one of the best things ever for faking skill. I also hammered out the Dung Ball for DBK so he can feel less anxious, since he was painted and it wasn't.

He's such a great fight, but I've never had a campaign successfully hunt the level 2 or 3 versions. He was too stingy with his hide and we couldn't pull any hide after 3 fights so moved onto hunting other things.
