And then the other day I saw someone say Cody wanted an ownership stake in AEW.
It only reinforced everything I already thought.
He says he felt disrespected.
I’ll bet he wanted TK to cut him in, and TK declined.
I long thought it had to deal with him wanting a larger part in the company, wanting AEW to be the legacy of the Rhodes family. Hence why he bought up his dad’s PPV names, why he forced all his personal stuff (baby reveal) and Brandi into programming, naming gorilla “the Dusty position”, etc…

SRS, on the Dynamite post show a few minutes ago, said he asked Rocky Romero about this and Rocky said that it’s the best case scenario for these people to leave for AEW because then NJPW can at least still use them.
If AEW didn’t exist and these people all went to WWE, they’d be gone forever.
I might be the only person who is ok with it… but if they want to 3 hours, I wouldn’t complain.
