I highly recommend Barbara Leaming's biography of Rita, it's so kind and precise and emotionally intelligent and generous to a person who saw a lot of meanness in her life. I think it's one of my favourite books and I'm going to reread it this year I think

I can't remember who said of Rita Hayworth that she has the most beautiful hands but I think about this a lot and have to agree, she has the most beautiful hands

Celebrating One Year of Cinema Her Way A year ago I published my first book!

Somehow it’s the one-year anniversary of the publication of my book CINEMA HER WAY today! Here’s a little wrap-up of the book’s first journey around the sun.

but the good news is I haven't felt suicidal in a few days!!!

I can't shake the sense that I'm falling behind -- not reading enough and not writing enough or well -- but I'm always tired because of the day job and all I want to do is sleep.

and I feel so incredibly lucky that for these little babies the tree outside my window is a little home

the daylight in my little kitchen makes me very happy :)
