I started looking at resources and free classes a few months ago on how to structure and plot a novel. Yesterday, I began writing my first novel. Wish me luck. ☺️🤞

Thank you to Vivian Kirkfield and the other judges for choosing my story, HURRICANE, as a winner in 50 Precious Words. This contest really highlights that every word in a picture book must have a purpose. Congratulations to all winners, honorable mentions and everyone who participated. 💕

I spent the afternoon writing the first draft of a new picture book manuscript. It was so satisfying. I can't think of a better way to spend a few hours.

I pitched a picture book to a publisher thru CBI Above the Slushpile in September. Yesterday evening I received an email from the publisher asking me to submit my manuscript. I was so excited I could hardly sleep last night. Wish me luck.

I make coffee at home in a drip, drip, drip coffee maker. Old fashioned but it is great coffee.
