I have no issue with GaaS, the idea. I do have a problem with the proliferation and oversaturation of it though.

Everything also needs to stop expecting to be the next big thing, and be content with just being checked out at all and turning a profit hahaha.

The shutdowns have led to a decrease in faith or people wanting to try something new, and caused us all to stick with what is established.

New MMO's shut down often now. But World of Warcraft, FF14 and Runescape are THRIVING. Concord and Highuard... while 10 year old Overwatch is in another hayday.

I am not anti-live service, I adore several live service games.

But so many executives need to stop chasing it, because it is becoming oversaturated. We need to see a lot less of these kinds of games, and those making them need to lower expectations of being the next Fortnite all the time.

They are a subsidiary of Hi-Rez Studios; the people that make Smite and Paladins.

Even Deadzone: Rogue, is just the animated corpse of the game they scuttled before it, Starsiege: Deadzone (where Rogue got its name). And that was the animated corpse of Starsiege: Raiders before that.

I never like to doom and gloom, you know me. :)

But these are the only guys I will publicly warn people about. Ill let you investigate it on your own, and feel free to buy the game; but I consider this an act of due diligence. 😂

Without having played it myself but absolutely felt the anticipation, it feels like it somehow exceeded that already stratospheric excitement and be *that good*.

A word of warning about Deadzone: Rogue. The developer is shady, shady business. Unexpected shut downs, moving onto new projects with no warning, a total disregard for anything but cashflow.

I'm not saying don't be excited! I'm saying be careful, watch reviews, wait for sales possibly, etc. :) 💚

Admittedly, he would likely be a lot more into 2. But he's a sucking for chronological order like me so he also demanded we start at 1. 😂

I started Warcraft: Midnight last night and so far it is exceptional. This marks the first time I've ever read all the quest text as I've gone along and it has truly changed the game for me, I'm having so much fun! 🥹

I need to play more. Im loving it; my lack of time isnt a reflection of the game. Ive done it a little dirty.

My Warcraft urge just flared up, and its hard to not have that be consuming hahaha.

Im excited for 6 haha. Im fully braced and my expectations are set.

I also have a weird relationship with the series, so I enjoyed 5 a lot more than anticipated. I know Ill LOVE 7, 8, 9 and Remakes; so 6 is the only real wild card left.

I am loving my time with FF7 Remake very deeply, its exceptional.

But my attention span is SHOT right now. 😂 Once its done, I dont think Im going to touch a game longer than 30 hours for a few months. 😂

I want to play WoW, Halo matches and shorter sub-20 hour games at the moment.
