They either stand up for PP and get reprisals from every Right Wing group in the region trying to make a point and attacking what's left of their funding.
Or they alienate PP, look like assholes to the people that mainly use their services and still leave themselves open to more gotcha attacks.
As far as I know from a boots on the ground standpoint, they're trying to still assess what even happened. A chunk of them know they got played, but they don't know how to respond to it in a way where the Center doesn't take a hit.
It sucks all around and I feel bad for them. It's a no-win.
