Downtown Redmond station has become the highest used light rail station on the 2 Line since it opened in May.

During the presentation breaking down this data to the Sound Transit board right now, this is being described as notable...because that station doesn't have a parking garage.

It is worth noting that the key economists / analysts have been correct (so far) on the impact of policy.

GDP slowdown (but not recession - yet).
Inflation picking up (and more to come).
International tourism down, especially in Summer.
Sluggish hiring.

All were predicted.

Let's just say, I saw this trend in 2006-2007-2008 as well......

Gordon Ramsay looms over the latest image of Washington's latest drought monitor map. He angrily exclaims "This state is dry!" Unfortunately, nobody can argue otherwise.

The drought is real. Eastern Washington has been hit especially hard this summer. Franklin County and Grant County received no precipitation at all in June, making this the driest June on record for those counties. We're not totally cooked!

* Accelerating Federal Permitting of Data Center Infrastructure
* Saving College Sports (surprisingly not focused on trans individuals but on requiring certain numbers of college athletic scholarships)

I went and looked at the recent presidential EOs and realized something ... we've stopped reporting on most of them, and they're only getting more unhinged and broader reaching. We need to continue pointing out the insanity.

Why can't I select multiple precincts at the same time? Why does this page freeze if I have too many lists showing? Why can't I make a list based on a radius from a specific address? Why is it so hard to get a list number?

I just need to say that VoteBuilder needs someone who actually understands software to come through and clean it up. This is painful.

I told some people to go visit you 😆 maybe they'll show. (Sadly I have never been to OH and I won't be going right now. 😔 It's okay though, NYCC 2024 checked meeting you off my bucket list.)

The big ugly bill also axed basically anything to do with solar, wind, hydrogen, renewable energy, reports someone I know at NREL (National Renewable Energy Laboratory). It's all part of the same agenda. 😭

I give monthly, and I have increased my donation. I urge others to do the same. If you live comfortably, now is the time to look around and see where you can preserve the things you care about and the services we need.

And once again I'm stepping up to do what little I can, because that is the only moral, decent thing to do when you see someone in need. And I shouldn't have to.

It is REPREHENSIBLE that our system leaves people to suffer and possibly to die, simply because their income isn't high enough, that their extended families aren't wealthy enough, that we assign worth to them based on the contents of their bank account. I am absolutely FURIOUS.

Now I have someone else who has been unable to obtain care, to the point it is once again becoming life-threatening.

I have had a young friend in their 30s DIE because of the state of healthcare in this country, and it is SHAMEFUL.

Not to vague-post, but the state of healthcare in this country makes me INCREDIBLY angry. I have friends across many socioeconomic brackets, including among those who are struggling month-to-month to meet their basic needs, and I see it hit them HARD.

Washington voters continue to vote against Chad Magendanz, for good reason. He’s out of touch on public schools, privacy, and our values and issues that matter the most. Let’s make sure he doesn’t set foot back in Olympia.
