if you are more interested in the pulsatile tinnitus, i will give you some keywords. search for r/PulsatileTinnitus on reddit to find a ton of resources, look up venous sinus stenosis, and look up venous stent procedure. 👍

compression. pulsatile tinnitus is vascular in nature and is often cause by a narrowed vein in the brain.

regular tinnitus (ringing or buzzing in the ear(s)) is neurological (and i guess also physiological sometimes).. and i don’t know as much about it unfortunately..

well the surgery was specifically for pulsatile tinnitus, which is different from regular tinnitus. pulsatile tinnitus is a whooshing sound in time with one’s pulse, oftentimes positional (meaning it will get better or work depending on what you’re doing), and if it goes away with light jugular ⬇️
