Voushee had to publicly repute all of her former AIPAC ties and survived by the absolute skin of her teeth. Thats a sign of Dem tea party strength not weakness. Nida is on the Durham County commision and is young. She will have the seat eventually.

Uh, all the precincts are reporting in the North Carolina #SD26 Republican primary and State Senate President Phil Berger is losing by TWO VOTES!

Sam Page- 50.00% (13,077)
Phil Berger (Inc)- 50.00% (13,075)

RESULT: Over & over, Democratic lawmaker Shelly Willingham helped the North Carolina GOP override the vetoes of Governor Stein & Cooper.

He lost just now to a progressive challenger, 56% to 44%.

(And he's likely one of several in this position. Stay tuned.)

Best part of all of this is that Jasmine Crockett's successor in the House will be a Black pastor who called Israel an apartheid state in Oct 2023

Contender to succeed Jasmine Crockett blasted Israeli β€˜apartheid’ in sermon on Oct. 8 Rev. Frederick D. Haynes III delivered an anti-Israel polemic from the pulpit on Oct. 8, 2023, the day after Hamas’ attack on Israel

Rev. Frederick D. Haynes III, the pastor at Friendship-West Baptist Church in Dallas who is running to replace Rep. Jasmine Crocket in the House, called Israel an apartheid state in October 2023 and analogized American support for it to its support for South Africa in the 1970s and 1980s.

Try Adrienne Adams. Liberal African American woman who’s been politics for decades. Broadly mainstream and until recently acceptable by all factions of the party though this may no longer be the case.

I think once all the incumbent conservadems in North Carolina were losing, it was pretty much a given that King Conservadem/former State Rep Michael Wray was going to lose his primary, but it's not even close in #HD27:

Rodney Pierce (Inc)- 66%
Michael Wray- 34%

BIG lead for Alex Holladay in the early vote in the Arkansas #HD70 (Harris+2) special election. Very much on track for a flip for the Dems here tonight in suburban Little Rock

In the North Carolina General Assembly, Carla Cunningham, Nasif Majeed, and possibly Shelly Willingham, all conservative Democrats who have voted to overturn Josh Stein's vetoes, are on track to lose their primaries. Look at God.

Wow. Rural Black belt seat still safe D no matter what though. If there was someone who I thought would survive it was him. No idea what the Charlotte reps were thinking though.

This is just getting wild now, a THIRD Democrat who voted to overturn Governor Stein's vetoes (Shelly Willingham) is also trailing against a heavily underfunded opponent in #HD23:

Patricia Smith- 55.2%
Shelly Willingham (Inc)- 44.8%

Woah, big result out of North Carolina's #HD106, where Democratic incumbent Carla Cunningham was running for re-election after constantly voting to overturn Governor Stein's vetoes:

Rodney Sadler- 74.7%
Carla Cunningham (Inc)- 18.3%

Just early vote right now though

Genuinely fascinated by how well Crockett is doing in Fort Bend she's not really replicating that strength so far in any other suburban area.

Holy crap James Talarico won the Travis County (Austin) early vote by 53 points!

It's his home county, but jeez that's a nuclear bomb of votes

I don't really think replacing Hegseth flunkies in the military is going to be difficult or unpopular quite frankly. Genuinely not sure what else this is referring too.

before this even gets to a point where ICE is leaving Shah Alam to freeze to death, why was the Erie County DA, Democrat Michael Keane, trying to prosecute a blind refugee for being tasered and beaten by police because he didn’t drop the curtain rod he used as a walking stick

Paul Kagame is genuinely one of the most evil people of the 21st century and a lot of people don't realize it because they don't take Africa seriously

Whose number one in the 8th?

13.02.2026 04:37 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

My possibly controversial opinion is that this race and Illinois 8th are more important for progressives than the 9th. There are much larger ideological stakes in those races and I think Peters and Ahmed are actually better positioned than Kat is to win.

Who does Bonnie Watson Coleman want to be her successor? Not Brad Cohen. - New Jersey Globe Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Ewing) doesn’t plan on taking sides in the packed Democratic primary to succeed her in the 12th congressional district, but

Bonnie Watson Coleman says she won't endorse anyone at this stage in the primary to determine her successor, but she has said that she emphatically opposes one person in particular: Brad Cohen.

Watson Coleman says Cohen is a hardline supporter of Israel and Netanyahu.

Oklahoma on the whole was weirdly stagnant in 2024. A bunch of northern rural counties inexplicably shifted left.
