Historians will write books about this dark period in US democracy.

This will be the cover photo.

It was taken inside the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia on Wednesday.

I have an extremely loose theory that part of the success of SQUID GAME and SHOGUN is that by using subtitles they actually demanded that the audience pay attention in an age of distraction and TV shows made for people half-watching

Lawyers for Liz Truss have asked me to stop saying Liz Truss crashed the economy. I only said Liz Truss crashed the economy because Liz Truss did crash the economy. If she wanted me to not say Liz Truss crashed the economy, she shouldn’t have crashed the economy.
Please don’t share.

Canadian House of Commons Member Charlie Angus: Canadians are very proud of our traditions. We know, having lived next door to our neighbors… that while our taxes might be slightly higher, it doesn’t cost us a dime to go to the doctor…

I don't care what TIME says.

MY Person of the Year is Kamala Harris.

TIME got it wrong.

So did America.

My memory of the last Trump trade deal is not good. Forced privatisation of the NHS etc. We desperately need to increase trade and Trump will exploit that desperation ruthlessly.

Britain has the turning circle of a supertanker, not a skateboard.

Labour need to start laying the groundwork for a future Rejoin application now.

It can be step by step, but the first is to scuff out their bright red lines over never rejoining the SM, CU or EU. The more they repeat it, the worse.

Media: Please stop letting Farage off the hook for wanting to dismantle the NHS just cos it's more fun to talk about immigrants.

This is what he wants us to copy.

As a passionate European, I find Labour intransigence on reintegration with Europe perplexing. Polls suggest the most in this country support rejoining in some form and Trump’s victory in the US leaves the UK dangerously isolated. Is it their fear of losing red wall support or something else?

Brexit makes no sense in a world dominated by Trump. Britain’s place is back in the EU | Jonathan Freedland From defence to trade, the incoming US president is upending the old order – and standing apart from our neighbours leaves us dangerously exposed, says Guardian columnist Jonathan Freedland

β€œThe polls are saying it, the governor of the Bank of England is saying it. And when immigration levels are four times higher now than when we were in the EU, the issue that served as the Brexiters’ trump card lies in shreds”

Don’t you think it’s to be expected 4 months into parliament 14yrs of chronic mismanagement has got to be undone? If they didn’t make the hard, unpopular decisions early, they have no chance of making a significant and noticeable difference by the next election.
