I had a very large noncancerous cyst on the back of my neck removed recently, that had been growing since like 2013. It had been with me through some of my life’s biggest milestones, slumps, and all the small everyday moments. I’m happy it’s gone but I kinda sorta miss it! It left a great scar.

Hugo had a ghost sticker stuck to his toe while eating breakfast 🥹

watched my first seahawks game yesterday now that the world series is done. such a contrast to the world series where the teams were evenly matched. the seahawks whupped the commanders’ butts. that elbow injury was horrendous to watch though, they shudda put a trigger warning for the slo mo replay😖🤢

Jacob got me Pochacco socks (“Posockos”) to lift my spirits and stay cozy during this period of illness and they’re the best 🥲

two years in a row, the time change did not disrupt our kid’s sleep schedule. we were warned it would be so hard but (as with traveling with a baby) it turned out just fine for us. we just put him to sleep a little later each night leading up to the time change, increasing by 15min, and he was fine!

I grew to really like the blue jays team, they just seemed like really nice guys, but man was that an INCREDIBLE dodgers win. What a game!!

one last note about the full pneumonia experience - i’ve been sleeping with a cool mist humidifier next to my bedside every night, and it is helpful to my breathing. it also has the added benefit of making my forehead wrinkles seem less noticeable and my skin generally nicer

my voice is gone from all the coughing, but my little treat the past couple days has been costco choco-vanilla soft serve, it soothes my throat and is one of the few things I can actually taste

things that have allowed me to hold onto a shred of dignity during this very undignified period of being sick with pneumonia: my new house slippers, and this random lip mask i got from costco but never used til now, that is saving my lips from all the coughing up and spitting of phlegm I’m doing

These last two world series games, the blue jays beat the dodgers efficiently, and relative to the game 3, 18 inning game, very quickly. I’m sure their fans loved it! I found the games to be boring from a spectator POV, esp a spectator rooting for the dodgers. Hoping for some dodger Ws in toronto!

I enjoyed reading all the history and stats in this article, to my surprise. this postseason has swept me up in all the big emotional, impossible excitement. the lovable and excellent players, the huge moments… suddenly i’m reading about baseball every day ⚾️

omg this world series game 3… 14 innings… i’m sick, i have to go to sleep, i’ve been watching this game for 5 hours, this is too much !!

I’ve never watched baseball this closely before, but with the mariners run (good while it lasted) then the dodgers in the world series, and with our whole family sick on the couch for over a month, we’ve watched a LOT of baseball. these world series games have been incredible to watch

Wow. I just finished this. It is fiction posing as biography, a fictional person writing about her deceased wife, who was a prolific author and artist. It’s a good story set in a semi-made up world, as much as it is a finely detailed tribute to the form, research, and art of biographical writing
