The US thinks it's going to dominate the planet with its random bullying and irrational policy making.

Increasingly, it's not turning out that way. It's the US that will lose influence and economic power.

Greetings from Kyiv and
a rare moment when lights are shining from everywhere.
As it should be.
Generators are resting.

Friday evening.

Sometimes I can’t even imagine how different our lives are – yours and mine.
Perhaps I’ve already forgotten.

You see the melting snow in Kyiv.
I see the hope that it will be warmer in the apartments left without heating after russian attacks.

The same picture can tell different stories.

Kyiv.
I love this pulse of life,
this scent of books.
Yes, we’re living through a very hard winter,
but we will get through it.

Marina Lacerda, one of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s accusers, slammed Attorney General Pam Bondi’s conduct during a House hearing Wednesday.

We expected a little bit more on Pam Bondi’s part, she told NewsNation’s Joe Khalil after the hearing. I think she really dehumanized us today.

Trump Administration Erases the Government’s Power to Fight Climate Change

Trump erased scientific finding that climate change endangers our health & environment. No limit on carbon dioxide, methane & other greenhouse gases causing heat waves, drought, fires & extreme weather.

Trump is too old & compromised to grasp climate in crisis

Greetings from Kyiv,
that survived another russian night attack.

2,600 high-rise buildings are now without heating
(in addition to the 1,100 that will remain without it this season).
We still have some.

In a few days, frosts will return.
I don’t know how to make the world listen.

Deep night in Kyiv.
Explosions.
Our mayor reports that ballistic missiles are targeting infrastructure facilities (or what’s left of them).

No words.

Kyiv.
Slowly, without any rush, I’m coming back to life.
Still cold, still with rationed electricity at home, but the heating is better
(more than a thousand high-rise buildings can’t say the same).

Today, I had a warcoffee at a bookstore and bought two books.
Maybe I’ll start reading again.

Hey, Propaganda Barbie:

We aren’t moving on from people trafficking 10-year-old children and this administration covering it up.

Greetings from Kyiv.

Just checking in.
Nothing new, electricity and heating remain difficult here.
The frost doesn’t leave us, -16 Β°C now.

Hope your Monday is (or was) kind, and that you’re grateful for everything you have.

The comparison between the responses of authorities in Europe and the US to the fallout from the Epstein files.

"In the United States, officials seem more likely to investigate chemtrails or what happened to Amelia Earhart than conduct a serious probe."

Very sad to share the news of this legend of Australian political cartooning, and art. Dear Jon Kudelka has died, and we will be the poorer and more dull for his passing.
Sending love and condolences to his family.
What a legacy of scorching wit and joyful capturing of life he leaves.

Kyiv.
1:50 am.
Electricity is back for a short while.
I’ve put all the essentials to charge.

Sitting here, looking at the light and grateful to everyone who keeps it on in Ukraine. Titans.

Trump tried to overthrow our 2020 elections.

Seeing how uniquely unpopular he is, and fearing loss, he now aims to control the results of future elections

Kyiv.
We had one hour of electricity and were told we’ll get about 1.5-2 hours a day (yes, out of 24 hours).
The boiler heated water,
I washed my hair,
charged the EcoFlow (not fully).

That’s all.
These are the consequences of russian attacks.

Greetings from Kyiv

Morning here.
Had a warcoffee, the EcoFlow barista made it.
No power, and no idea when it’ll return. russia launched a large-scale strike on Ukraine’s power grid, damaging major thermal plants and high-voltage lines.

Are you still here? Still listening to the story of genocide?

Kyiv.
We were warned of a possible attack tonight.
Me?
Had a warcoffee, made dinner, and charged everything (we had 2.5 hours of power).
Feeling nothing.

We’ll survive everything. I know.

Greetings from Kyiv.

I know some of you care, so I came here to say hi.
Nothing new: low heating, power outages.
At least cold water is stable (hot water appears only when we have electricity).

-8 Β°C and snow outside. Tropical vibes πŸ˜‚

Kyiv.
We’ve just got power back!
After a heavy night attack,
they managed to give us some electricity.
Even if it won’t last long, it feels like magic.

Glory to Ukrainian engineers πŸ’ͺ
