Having been appointed Interim U.S. Attorney by the Attorney General just days before, Ms. Halligan secured a two-count indictment charging former FBI Director James B. Comey, Jr. with making false statements to Congress and obstructing a congressional proceeding. Mr. Comey now moves to dismiss the indictment on the ground that Ms. Halligan, the sole prosecutor who presented the case to the grand jury, was unlawfully appointed in violation of 28 U.S.C. § 546 and the Constitution's Appointments Clause. As explained below, I agree with Mr. Comey that the Attorney General's attempt to install Ms. Halligan as Interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia was invalid. Why am I thinking this?

On my commute in this morning I was on Trump's truth feed. He seems to post accounts from X based not in the USA.

One of the accounts was verified in the US, but its associated accounts were not.

While people are arguing the locations are not what you would expect because of vpns, there are also questions that need to be asked about the verification process by phone number. If a huge MAGA account buys a Texas phone number, but is in India what was really verified?

This X location reveal is fascinating. The verification process is beyond simplistic pay to get the check, have a profile pic and a phone number to verify.

As someone who has used/paid for phone numbers in locations to get access to some groups I was checking out, it's pretty damn easy.

When you become the "victim" to the designated other, you can not find commonality. You no longer see them as anything as a threat, validating violence, validating dehumanization, and building anger and hatred for those who see the other as humans capable of emotions
