BREAKING: 30 more Starbucks locations are joining the strike.
Starbucks workers in 25 cities are jumping into the week-long strike.
Now @sbworkersunited.org members at 95 stores in 65 cities have walked off the job.
Hereβs how you can stand with Starbucks workers today -
π₯ Shop local for your coffee β support small businesses (and tag @PAWorkingFamilies!)
π₯ Talk with your friends and neighbors about why workers are striking.
π₯ Share messages of encouragement using #NoContractNoCoffee to boost worker voices.
Yesterday we were proud to join over 100 baristas, union siblings and, elected officials and other allies in STOPPING trucks from entering Starbucksβ largest East Coast distribution center. Proud to stand with @sbworkersunited.org
No contract. No coffee.
#NoContract#NoCoffee
Baristas are locking arms in front of lines of trucks.
This distribution center is Starbucksβ largest on the East Coast, which is why weβre showing up to send a message. We're ready to continue escalating our ULP strike until Starbucks does the right thing.

We're primarying John Fetterman.
Last week, Fetterman again sold out working Pennsylvanians. He was the deciding vote for a Republican budget bill that will strip healthcare from over 400,000 Pennsylvanians.
We deserve real working class leadership in the Senate, not a Trump-enabling Democrat.

The same legislators who claim that the state government doesn't have enough money to fund essential services refuse to consider a solution staring them in the face.
We need to tax the rich & make PA's billionaires pay their fair share.

Senator Joe Picozzi: (215)-281-2539
Republicans in Harrisburg are holding SEPTA hostage to make traffic & transit worse for the Eaglesβ home opener the season after winning the Super Bowl.

We strongly support the nurses at UPMC Magee standing up & fighting for the working conditions they deserve.
UPMC needs to stop the union-busting and put its workers and patients first.

Our members head back to work on Monday & welcome students back to school on 8/25. A strike is always a last resort; after all, we're parents of Philly school students, too.
The 1-year extension of our last CBA gave the School District ample notice of members' needs. Where's the urgency, SDP?
PA Senate Majority Leader Joe Pittman is out raising money today at a high dollar fundraiser instead of working to pass a state budget.
We suggest giving him a call at (724) 357-0151 to let him know you feel about that. β³οΈ

A pile of trash next to a Philadelphia city trash can with a sign posted on it saying βMayor Parker pick up your trash, give DC 33 a raiseβ.
Trash piling up? Libraries & pools closed? Long wait times for emergency calls?
Text DC33 to 30403 to contact the Mayor's office & tell them to give striking AFSCME DC 33 workers a fair contract.
TELL MAYOR CHERELLE PARKER: PAY CITY WORKERS A LIVING WAGE. TEXT DC33 TO 30403.
Last month, Mayor Cherelle Parker's city budget gave tax cuts to the wealthiest corporations in Philly. Now, she claims there's no money left for striking city workers to make a living wage.
Text DC33 to 30403 to contact the Mayor's office & tell her to give AFSCME DC 33 workers a fair contract.
Today, the Working Families Party State Committee is writing in support of the AFSCME DC 33 workers who have made the difficult decision to go on strike as a result of unfair pay and benefits. No worker wants to go on strike β but the city's refusal to offer a fair contract has led the workers of AFSCME DC 33 to have no other option but to walk off of the job. These workers make Philadelphia run. Theyβre our city employees ranging from 911 dispatchers to water department and sanitation workers to school crossing guards. They keep our children safe and our city clean. These workers are not asking for a lot: an increase in pay, a stronger pension plan, and more support on the job. The city should provide these resources and more to the people who make this city work. And we should make sure that these workers arenβt priced out, providing enough pay and benefits for them to stay in the city.
The cityβs most recent offer would increase out-of-pocket healthcare costs, weaken sick leave policies, and raise wages by rates lower than inflation, effectively resulting in a pay cut. Thatβs not acceptable. At a time when the city of Philadelphia has just passed a budget that gave tax cuts to the richest corporations in the city, the administration has a moral imperative to provide the workers of the city with decent pay and benefits. Thatβs why we stand in solidarity with the workers of AFSCME DC 33. Itβs time for the city to provide them with a fair contract and the benefits they deserve. Signed, The PA Working Families Party State Committee

Republicans are telling us they donβt have the money to feed hungry families, or provide healthcare to people depending on Medicaid. Meanwhile, the Pentagon gets a blank check.
