When you register as an independent you give up the ability to vote for primary challengers.

I encourage everyone to register Democratic and support primary challenges.

Mark Carney was talking about attracting foreign investment to Canada and listed reasons Canada is a good place to invest. A reporter pointed out that the U.S. has those things, too. What sets Canada apart? Carney responded, "Well, we have rule of law."οΏΌ

Remember when Donald Trump said there would be people standing in bread lines trying to get food if Kamala Harris won?

People are standing in line for food in Cleveland because of Donald Trump.

The Shutdown of U.S.A.I.D. Has Already Killed Hundreds of Thousands The short documentary β€œRovina’s Choice” tells the story of what goes when aid goes.

One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

I don’t understand camps saying: Dems need to follow the Mamdani model to win the midterms; or Dems need to follow the Spanberger model to win. It’s a big country. Different approaches work in different places. Candidates who connect w/their specific constituencies is the model.

Europeans recognize Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly radical policies as β€˜normal’ Critics of New York City’s mayor-elect have said his pledges of free bus service and universal childcare are unrealistic, but in Europe it’s a given

"Europeans recognize his vision about free public transit and universal childcare. We expect our governments to make these kinds of services accessible to all of us,” said Verbeek. β€œWe pay higher taxes and get civilized societies in return."

β€œThe Democratic Party is back?” No, Mr Minority Leader, DEMOCRATIC VOTERS ARE PISSED OFF. That’s the lesson from yesterday. Dem voters, not the Dem Party, carried the day yesterday. And it’s been this way since Trump won. Dem voters understand this moment. The Party doesn’t.

I’m just a small-town political scientist, & it’s still relatively early, but it appears that The Actual Democrats did not Need To Do any of the Things or Learn any of the Obvious Lessons that Ezra Douthglesias said they Must Do & Learn.
